Mel & Roy’s Wedding
On Saturday, October 24th, Mel and Roy celebrated their nuptials with a blowout bash for 100 of their closest friends and family. Following an offsite wedding ceremony, guests arrived at Luma at 5:30pm for wine and canapés at the bar, including goat cheese tartlets, mini mushroom empanadas, and chicken potstickers.
By 7pm, all guests were seated in the main dining room, with flutes of sparkling on hand for a formal toast. Chef Michael Wilson’s light and bright dinner menu included dishes such as buffalo mozzarella salad, wild sockeye salmon, and the famous Luma chocolate bar.
After dessert was cleared and the bride and groom delivered their heartfelt speech, the dance floor opened up for newlyweds to strut their stuff. A gourmet popcorn station featuring Pecorino and truffle oil garnishes turned heads, along with passed BBQ beef sliders and vegetarian spring rolls. All in all, Mel and Roy’s wedding was a sophisticated and stylish affair, perfectly complemented by Luma’s polished setting and stunning views of downtown Toronto.
