Raj’s O&B Story

Originally from Mumbai, India, Raj Rijhwani came to Toronto to study animation. His fascination for Long Island Iced Teas led him to take a bartending course as a hobby. He fell in love with the art of mixing drinks and decided to join Toronto’s exciting hospitality industry. Upon earning his diploma in Hotel Management at George Brown College, Raj went on to hone his bartending skills at renowned Toronto institutions including the Intercontinental Hotel’s Azure Restaurant, Fairmont Royal York’s Library Bar, Biff’s Bistro, Ki, Leña Restaurante, Maison Selby and Hy’s Steakhouse.

Now, as O&B’s resident cocktail specialist, Raj is applying his knowledge of classic cocktails and creating imaginative new drinks to bring several restaurants’ cocktail programs to the next level. When he’s not shaking up margaritas and striking up conversations behind the bar, Raj can be found at home with his pup, Samuel, cooking up new recipes from YouTube, working on his calligraphy, or going on a bar crawl about town.
