When it comes to planning the perfect bridal shower, it’s not uncommon to see the same games, décor, themes, and food repeated time and time again. While there’s nothing wrong with recycling ideas, the spring and summer months offer the perfect occasion to think outside the box and get creative with colour, cuisine, cocktails, and more. To offer up some inspiration, we’ve rounded up four spring and summer bridal shower trends we’re loving for 2023.

Wow Them with a Welcome Cocktail Wall

You might be familiar with the Champagne wall, a fun and functional statement piece (and amazing photo opp) where guests help themselves to a glass of pre-poured bubbles. As the warmer months unfold, why not take your Champagne wall to the next level and shake things up with a refreshing welcome cocktail? We love the idea of a bright and zesty margarita or summery sangria to start. Not only is a cocktail wall an unexpected touch, it’s bound to kickstart the party in style!

Bridal Shower

Don’t Shy Away from Bold, Bright Colours

While soft pastels and muted tones may be the traditional bridal shower move, don’t be afraid to go bold with your colour choices! Lean into bright, cheerful tones and play with linens, florals, accessories, and accents to add a playful pop of colour. We’re loving deep fuchsia, vibrant orange, sunny yellow, and vivid blue. If you’re having trouble picturing how it will all come together, build a mood board on Pinterest and invite your fellow planners to join!

non-alcoholic cocktails

Get Creative with Fun, Booze-free Beverages

While some non-alcoholic options can be lacklustre, low and no ABV offerings don’t have to be boring! Serving up imaginative booze-free cocktails at home has never been easier with tons of creative recipes that go far beyond standard sparkling water (our very own Cocktail Specialist Raj Rijhwani shares a few here!). If you’re playing host at a venue, ask if the mixologist can craft a few zero-proof cocktails that showcase the same quality ingredients, balance, technique, and attention to detail as their classic alcoholic counterparts.

Try a Tea Party

A perfect tie-in to springtime’s blooming florals and summer’s blissfully warm weather, we love an English tea party theme. Oozing elegant garden party vibes, try a menu of delicate tea sandwiches, sweet and savoury scones, and dainty petit fours served on beautiful tiered towers. Why not source some fun cups, saucers, teapots, and creamers so guests can go pinkies up and pour themselves some afternoon tea? For a cocktail, keep with the British theme and serve up some Pimm’s with a do-it-yourself garnish station stocked with fresh citrus, fruit, and herbs.

No matter how you choose to shower your blushing bride, we hope our favourite 2023 trends can offer some sunny inspiration. Happy planning!
